Presentation 2

Due Nov 28

Presentation

As a “dry run” for the upcoming essay, a presentation of what you’ve learned about activism today in relation to the activism of the 1960s.

Your presentation should aim to deepen the audience’s understanding of the dynamics of activism. It should NOT be a call to action calling on the audience to become activists.

You can conceive of your audience in either of two ways: your presentation can be directed at an academic audience eager for understanding OR at activists eager to improve their tactics or their appeal.

Presentations should run between 5½ and 6½ minutes. They can be accompanied by slides or not—your choice. If you don’t want to do slides, you might consider creating a single background slide to stand in front of. If you use slides, you can set your slides up to advance at automatic intervals (as we did in the first presentation) or you can change them manually.

Let me know if you’re willing to present on Tuesday, Dec 2, in which case your presentation will be due at midnight Sunday rather than Tuesday. In exchange for going early, you’ll get a small grade boost.

Due midnight on the evening of Mon, Nov 28.
